Chromagnon Update: June 2026

Chromagnon RevI core board layout

Chromagnon RevI core board — layout complete, ready for prototype fabrication.

Hello video friends,

The RevI core board revision is complete — routing finished, DRC clean, fab outputs generated, and ready to order. This is the milestone I've been working toward since the April 2025 redesign, and the giant hardware integration obstacle is behind us.

Getting there took a concentrated push. We pulled Jonah Lange off every other duty for a four-week sprint focused solely on the Chromagnon RevI layout. The render above is the result of that work.

The schedule is shifting by one month. In May I expected prototype boards on the bench by now — we're changing plans. The sprint got RevI across the finish line instead, and that was the right trade. Ship Unit #1 moves from September to October 2026, pending RevI prototype validation.

The April/May pivot bought us another month and got this board done, but we're back in the same cashflow situation as before: Videomancer revenue funds Chromagnon production, and in the past 30 days we sold 6 units against a bare minimum goal of 30. We only reached 20% of our sales goal. Below that floor, we can't place the prototype order — so Chromagnon bench work pauses while I put more effort into Videomancer demo videos and promotion.

What has not changed

Pre-order prices honored. Queue order unchanged. Feature set unchanged. Monthly updates continue.

With sales slow, we also have room in June and July for special project requests — older module build projects, custom design work, that kind of thing. Email sales@lzxindustries.net if you have something in mind.

Read the full update for the revised schedule, prototype timing scenarios, and what's paused vs. what continues.
